2019-2020 Ambassadors


Advancement Ambassadors are the official student representatives at events sponsored by the UCR Advancement Office and the Office of the Chancellor. These events provide great opportunities to meet, network, and converse with faculty, staff, donors, alumni and community/business leaders. Advancement Ambassadors promote UCR pride and showcase the quality and diversity of the student body.


2020-2021 Ambassadors


  • Current undergraduate student in good standing; enrolled at least one quarter prior to Fall 2020
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Must be able and willing to represent UCR in a professional and positive manner
  • Must meet the qualifications and submit a completed application along with a resume and names of two references (references should be a supervisor, RA, coach, instructor, etc.


  • Students from all schools and colleges are encouraged to apply; Advancement Ambassadors will be reflective of UCR’s student body
  • Selection will be made by review of the application and interview by a selection committee
  • Selection will be made during the spring quarter
  • Applicants will be notified of acceptance or denial in written or electronic form
  • Applications are due May 11


  • Advancement Ambassadors must attend the 1.5 day mandatory program orientation prior to the beginning of fall quarter classes
  • Advancement Ambassadors will serve for a minimum of one year; multi-year service is encouraged
  • Advancement Ambassadors, on average, will dedicate three to five hours per month to the program and must attend 75% of the scheduled monthly team meetings/education sessions
