ABOUT ADVANCEMENT AMBASSADORS

Advancement Ambassadors are official student representatives at events sponsored by the office of University Advancement and the Office of the Chancellor. These events provide great opportunities to meet, network, and converse with donors, alumni, community/business leaders, faculty, and staff. Advancement Ambassadors promote UCR pride and showcase the quality and diversity of the student body.

 

2020-2021 Ambassadors

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current undergraduate student in good standing; enrolled in at least one quarter prior to Fall 2021
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Must be able and willing to represent UCR in a professional and positive manner

SELECTION

  • To be considered for selection, please click the link below to complete the Advancement Ambassador Application
  • Students from all schools and colleges are encouraged to apply; Advancement Ambassadors will be reflective of UCR’s student body
  • Interviews and selections will be determined by a committee of UCR staff and current ambassadors.
  • Selection will be made during the spring quarter
  • Applicants will be notified of acceptance or denial in written or electronic form
  • Applications are due May 14,2021

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advancement Ambassadors must attend the mandatory 1.5 day program orientation prior to the beginning of fall quarter classes
  • Advancement Ambassadors will serve for a minimum of one year; multi-year service is encouraged
  • Advancement Ambassadors, on average, will dedicate three to five hours per month to the program and must attend 75% of the scheduled monthly team meetings/education sessions
