OUR DEPARTMENTS

Stewardship & Donor Relations

UCR Stewardship & Donor Relations is a supportive resource and advocate in the promotion of effective and consistent donor stewardship. By providing tools, methods, and resources via both written communication and personal interaction, we promote the value and impact of engaging donors and putting donor-centered principles to work every day. Our primary goal is to ensure that donors can rest assured knowing that the impact of their philanthropy is appreciated, and that the funds they have entrusted to UCR are used efficiently and effectively.

Gift Administration

The mission of the UC Riverside Office of Gift Administration is to serve campus departments, the development staff and the University of California Office of the President (UCOP) as the delegated authority to accept, record, and receipt all charitable contributions to UC Riverside and the UC Riverside Foundation.

We record and receipt all gifts and pledges to the University, including checks, cash, credit cards, gifts of securities and gifts-in-kind. We ensure compliance with IRS regulations, Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) accounting standards, and Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) counting standards for all gifts to the University. Gift Administration is also responsible for ensuring the integrity of gift data recorded and stored in its donor database for the purpose of donor, departmental, and institutional reporting.
